If living a car free lifestyle is important for you, then this is the best way to evaluate that possibility before you move in.

Walk Score is the name, but definitely not the only service. Walkscore.com also provides “Bike Scores”, “Public Transit Scores”, information for local businesses, local resident insight into the neighborhood such as pictures and community information and a tool to help you search for apartments and compare prices. You can even add in your work location to specifically search for neighborhoods with easy public transit options to your office.
